Where do I go from here?

Hi, new guy here. My brain is under siege by a story that won't relent. So I need to get it down or I'm afraid it will totally raze my mind to the ground!
Unfortunately, I have no I idea where to start with this software. I'm not even certain if this software is meant just for keeping ideas, characters and locations stored or if it's meant for the entire process; abstract idea to final draft.
For instance, I'd like to write my synopsis so it'll stop assaulting my left flank but can not figure out where to do so. It's hitting me with a relentless pounding that is caving in the left side of my brain!
So basically, can someone direct me to some documentation that is more detailed than what I've found on here and/or some tutorials to get me started? My brain can't take much more of this beating!

Ah sweet. Thanks a lot! I've been playing around with it whilst I waited for a response, mainly to calm some of the assault on my brain but now that I have a manual to use as a guide, it should make things much better!

Okay, so I did Part 1 Scene 1 in Chapter 1 and I tried to export it just to see how it worked but Chapter 1 says the size is 0 and when I do the export of the book text as html using the File > Export > Other Format and choose book text and html then click the export button. The computer sits there with the pointer indicating that it is working but it never stops working.
The chapter literally has just one part which consists of only three very small paragraphs.
When I finally get tired of waiting and open the html file for the chapter, all it gives is the chapter number and name. There is absolutely no text at all. It's as if it's not registering that part 1 of scene 1 even exists.

There is a bug in the Html export, the solution is now in tests for few days. An emergency release is planed around the 15th of January.
