OS: Linux Mint 20.3, kernel 5.05.0-48
I had oStorybook versions 4 and 5 installed side by side, and was getting some odd behavior. So I uninstalled both, did a whole-system search to find everything related and get rid of it, re-downloaded the current version and installed it.
On attempting to run it:
Exception Message:Can't find bundle for base name storybook.i18n.language, locale en_US

Please report this exception to the development team.
After closing the error message box, both oStorybook and Java are still running according to System Monitor. But nothing on-screen.
Edit: Downloading and installing current/ostorybook.jar did not help.
Edit 2: Installing 5.05.08 fixed it.
